The School ground environment is to support the balance between active and noisy areas to passive and quiet areas.
Passive areas allow students to feel comfortable, connect and better perform at school.
Access to open space, nature and gardens has a range of social, environmental and economic benefits including improved wellbeing and productivity for both students and teachers.
Where possible we like use to utilize the natural shade of trees. Research showing students just being able to see plants and trees can reduce their mental fatigue.(Lohr 2010)
Our Passive Areas are designed to suit each environment as available, to provide Seating and Shade for the comfort of students, teachers, counsellors and Support Units.
